Insurance Coverage
We know treating diabetes can be expensive. That's why understanding your insurance coverage, benefits, and reimbursement options is so important. We're here to help.
Your insurance plan may help cover much of the cost of diabetes testing supplies, including blood glucose meters and test strips. In the United States, most insurance companies, and Medicare Part B, provide some type of coverage for these supplies.
It's important to know that Medicare, Medicaid and diabetes education programs are not automatically available to all US citizens and residents, as you need to meet certain eligibility criteria in order to receive these benefits. Whether you have private health insurance through your employer, or participate in a government program such as Medicare and Medicaid that provides health care insurance coverage and reimbursement, coverage may vary by provider.
It's possible that a portion or all of your diabetes treatment and supplies will be covered under your plan.
